LOW PRESSURE GAS PIPELINE DATABASE
GDM’s Low Pressure Gas Pipeline Database is maintained from data supplied by the Rural Utilities Division, Alberta Agriculture and Rural Development. The Utilities Branch compile the information received from rural gas distributors and their agents once per year. This data is then provided to GDM for extraction and reformatting to GDM’s database structure and for the attaching of operator information to individual lines.

The data contained in the database is the graphical location of the line, the operator, the status, and in some cases the outside diameter. The area coverage is Alberta with the exception of the major cities and Federal Indian Reserves. Because of the Rural Utilities Division updating schedule, the data is current to within 6 months. More current data is only available by contacting the specific distributors for their most recent construction.

The database is updated monthly by GDM.
