PIPELINES AND FACILITIES DATABASE
Enhanced Pipeline Database
The Enhanced Pipeline Database is a premier pipeline file that generates superior maps and GIS projects, precisely evaluates and locates pipeline assets, implements integrity management projects and increases field safety.
The Enhanced Pipeline Database is the most comprehensive and accurate source of trusted Western Canadian pipeline data.
Alberta
In Alberta, the Enhanced Pipeline Database provides a spatially corrected pipeline file that contains pipeline locations that have been adjusted to the surveyed right of ways (ROW) and to imagery. This provides the most accurate file available and saves time and effort when mapping, analyzing and locating Alberta pipelines.
Traditionally Alberta pipeline location data derives from ERCB records. While these records are representative of what is in the area they lack the spatial accuracy because of the way the file is generated, dated information and the lack of "as-built" survey information.
With the Enhanced Pipeline Database, GDM has moved over 1.4 million pipeline segments to make them compatible with surveyed right of ways, imagery and the correct as built data. The pipelines are connected to wells, facilities and other field installations, while all original ERCB regulatory attribute data is maintained in the Enhanced Pipeline Database file. We also constantly update Alberta pipeline information in the Enhanced Pipeline Database with new information from all its sources.
British Columbia
In British Columbia, the Enhanced Pipeline Database is the most comprehensive precise pipeline database available. Built from historical records, survey plans, and operator's information, as well as enhanced by British Columbia Oil and Gas Commission data, the Enhanced Pipeline Database is the finest BC pipeline file offered.
Saskatchewan
In Saskatchewan, the Enhanced Pipeline Database is the industry standard with its extensive data content, up-to-date information and superior accuracy. Data is continuously gathered from various government sources including the Saskatchewan Ministry of Energy and Resources branch, oil and gas operators and the legal survey community. In Saskatchewan, the Enhanced Pipeline Database is the most complete and accurate pipeline file available.
We update all files on a monthly basis with new pipeline data in all provinces and also supply the standard ERCB files to IHS, our exclusive distributor of the Enhanced Pipeline Database.
